On July 11 and November 28, 2012, the Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR) selected 46 proposals to be recommended to the 2013 MN Legislature to collectively receive $38.2 million in funding from the Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund. The recommendations came from the LCCMR's 2012-2013 Request for Proposal process in which 169 proposals requesting a total of approximately $155 million were received. These recommendations range from full funding for the full proposal and dollar amount requested to partial funding for specific proposal elements and partial dollar amounts requested. On March 4, 2013, the LCCMR funding recommendations were introduced in the House and Senate. The Legislature adopted all 46 of these project recommendations and added one additional project. All 47 appropriations were signed into law by the Governor on 05/09/13 as M.L. 2013, Chapter 52.

Approximately $34 million from the Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund is currently expected to be available for funding recommendations to the 2013 Legislature for projects to begin July 1, 2013.
On June 5, 2012, the LCCMR selected 65* proposals requesting a total of approximately $73 million to invite in to present before the Commission and receive further consideration on June 19, 20, 27, and 28. [*Note: 65 proposals consists of 57 individual proposals plus 1 partnership proposal (Metro Conservation Corridors, #064-D) containing a total of 8 individual sub-proposals: 57+8=65.]
